Ms. Alyssa Zolnowski

Artistic Director

Miss Alyssa began dancing at age 2 and has never stopped.  She is trained in many genres of dance. Upon graduation, Miss Alyssa auditioned and was accepted onto the nationally ranked Rutgers Dance Team where they were consistently in the top 4 in the nation during the four years Miss Alyssa was on the team and she became Team Captain her senior year. Since dancing at Rutgers, Miss Alyssa has choreographed award winning routines and has received awards for her choreography.  She was a member of the Miss America organization where she competed for the title of Miss New Jersey as Miss Middlesex.  She won the talent portion of the qualifying pageant in which she became Miss Middlesex.  Miss Alyssa was also a first grade school teacher in addition to coach of the Highland Park Dance Team.  She has performed as Clara, multiple times, in the Duke Ellington version of the Nutcracker. Miss Alyssa is certified by Dance Educators of America and has been teaching dance for over 20 years in many genres for all ages and levels of children through adults.  She was on staff at Metuchen Dance Centre, where she also received her training, and School of the Arts.  She is looking forward to taking her love of teaching the art of dance to students and opening a studio where she can share her love of dance and performing on a bigger scale.  Miss Alyssa currently lives in Millstone with her husband and four children.  She is proud to have this opportunity of owning a studio in the town she loves and is raising her family.

Miss Alexa Barreiros is a New Jersey native and student at Rider University studying Dance and Elementary Education. Alexa has trained with many different studios starting at a young age. She had the opportunity to train with the Tap City Youth program and performed in off-broadway pieces by Caleb Teicher, Melinda Sullivan, and Sarah Reich. She previously taught multiple subjects in different studios in North Jersey.

 

Alexa is currently in her senior year at Rider University, where she has participated in several pieces since being admitted into the University. One of the many choreographers she has performed for is Merli V. Guerra in her piece Constellation Stories in Rider Dances 2022.

Miss Kelly is a 2023 graduate from The College of New Jersey where she was Captain of the Dance Team. She had a double major in Early Childhood Education & iSTEM.

 

She has been dancing for 16 years, and Pom is her favorite style! Kelly is also a Universal Dance Association (UDA) Staff Instructor. As a Staff Instructor, Kelly travels around the country, teaches technique classes, choreographs, and judges routines for various UDA summer camps

We are excited to have Miss Kelly join us this year as our Pom teacher. Pom is a style of dance focusing on sharp, clean arm movements, formations, jumps & skills with poms!

Miss Elea Guillemot

Miss Elea has been dancing since the age of 3. She found her love for dance at a small studio in France where she grew up. Starting from ballet, then slowly adding on a few jazz classes, then contemporary. At 10, Miss Elea danced with Wayne Barbast.


In 2015, Miss Elea moved over to New Jersey, she started her dance journey with a brand new group of girls, at a new studio. First she was taking Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap and Hip-Hop. In High School, she was on the South Brunswick High School Dance Team while assisting with as many classes as she could at her studio. 

Miss Elea is currently a student at Mason Gross School of the Arts in Rutgers in the Dance and Education program. Her time at Rutgers has given her the opportunity to master the roots of Yoga, Modern, Pilates, Hip-hop, Ballet, Jazz, Bollywood, Yorchha, and the importance of Choreography and Improvisation as well. 

 

Miss Elea is excited to be able to pursue her dreams of teaching and sharing her passion at Millstone Dance this year. We are excited she is returning to teach a variety of classes including Combo, Hip Hop, Tap, & Jazz!

Miss Ali Jans

Miss Ali has been training in ballet and other dance forms for over twenty years. She grew up a military kid, stationed across the U.S. as well as abroad, which presented opportunities to work with many world-renowned instructors and choreographers. She trained under various acclaimed instructors including Stefan Grebeldinger, Franca Desinia, Paula Weber, David Justin, Gary Abbott, DeeAnna Hiett, Ronald Tice, and Mishic and Valentine Liberatore. Ali trained for three years in Italy at a ballet school associated with Teatro alla Scala in Milan. While in Europe she performed The Nutcracker with the Croatian National Ballet and Don Quixote with the State
Ballet of Georgia (Europe). She also attended an invitation-only summer intensive in Novi Sad, Serbia. Ali spent two years pursuing a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography at the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she worked with a variety of choreographers including Nilas Martins and Cleo Parker Robinson. She is currently finishing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management.

 

Ali is a freelance professional ballerina and over the past several years has performed in various ballets including Don Quixote, Swan Lake as Odette with Fredrick Davis, and Paquita as Paquita with Michael Crawford. For two seasons, she was the Assistant Artistic Director at Central New Jersey Ballet Theatre and the Junior Company Ballet Mistress for one year. She has been assisting in and teaching dance classes for nearly a decade at multiple dance studios. Ali currently teaches ballet at Princeton Ballet School along with being a Wardrobe Assistant with American Repertory Ballet. She is a certified teacher of the Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) strengthening program for dancers. Ali aims to create a supportive environment to foster students’ love for dance while providing them with the necessary skills to reach their goals.

Miss Michelle LaGrasso

Miss Michelle started singing and dancing at age 5. From church choir to tap, jazz, and musical theater, performing has always been a part of her life. At 16 she started teaching dance for the Edison Recreation Department. She was on the dance team at Middlesex County College. She graduated from Kean University with a bachelor’s in degree in Physical Education and health. She found her love for performance and began to dance, sing and act various shows. Some include Blood Brothers at George Street Playhouse You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown off Broadway Theater, The Wiz at Count Basie Theater and Rocky Horror Picture Show South Mountain Theater Works. 

 

Michelle is an avid lover of Disney, especially visiting the parks with her husband and two children, Angelina and Anthony. She loves teaching and has been helping Girl Scout troops in multicultural day by helping to bring dance into their education. “There is nothing more rewarding then helping students to fine their passion and help them grow.” Miss Michelle will be returning to teach a variety of classes including Jazz, Tap, & Musical Theater!

Miss Licia is born and raised in New Jersey and has two children, a son who is 13 and a daughter who is 11. Being able to teach dance has given her the opportunity to follow her passion and also be able to raise her children. She has been teaching at various studios throughout New Jersey for the last 21 years. Her former dance training was with New Jersey Ballet Company and she attended Rutgers University. She has trained and received multiple Certifications with Acrobatic Arts.  

 

She loves to teach all genres of dance but Acro is her true passion. To see the confidence her students develop over the years is wonderful, especially when they achieve things that may seem impossible to them. Miss Licia will be returning to teach all of our Acro classes!

Mr. TJ has been performing professionally since the age of 11 years old. A graduate of Metuchen dance Center, TJ has gone on to study with some incredible instructors including but not limited to Ernest Wiggins, John Basil (The American Globe Theatre), Dr. E. Teresa Choate, Holly Logue, Richard Lawson, as well as Rachel Evans.  He holds a BFA in theater performance from Kean University. TV/Film credits include; As the World Turns, Her Side of the Bed. Stage: Hamlet in Hamlet, Mitch in Tuesdays with Morrie, The Police Sergeant in Pirates of Penzance, Jason in Rabbit Hole, Clifford in Deathtrap, Bobby Strong in Urinetown and many more.  

 

He looks forward to sharing his knowledge gained over the span of 25 years in the industry with your young artists. We are excited to welcome back Mr. TJ as he will be teaching Tap classes again this year!

Miss Suzanne Rosta

Miss Suzanne began taking gymnastics classes when she was about 5 years old. She continued through high school, and was the captain of the varsity gymnastics team in high school her senior year. Her specialties included floor exercise and vault. She instructed gymnastics to children from the age of fifteen and worked for many years for South Brunswick Community Education gymnastics program. Miss Suzanne taught 2nd and 3rd grade in South Brunswick for 11 years before she left to raise her 3 boys.
 

While she was raising her children, Suzanne became a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) certified personal trainer specializing in youth fitness, group fitness, nutrition, and stretching. She is a certified POUND instructor who LOVES to Rockout with her posse! Suzanne teaches circuit and HIIT classes to children, teens and adults, and focuses on the individual needs of all of her clients.


Miss Suzanne currently lives in Millstone with her husband Greg; three boys, Matthew, Gregory and Jonathan, and loves teaching fitness through a local community dance studio! She will be returning to teach a variety of classes including Adult Fitness & POUND!

Miss Sarah Warren

Miss Sarah has loved to dance for as long as she can remember. Since age 5, Sarah took dance classes of all styles including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, and hip hop. She especially excelled in tap and hip hop, which stand to be her two favorite styles today. Through competitions and conventions, Sarah has worked with choreographers like Kenny Wormald, Stephen “Twitch” Boss, Misha Gabriel, and Lisa and Mike Minery. Aside from dance, Sarah was a cheerleader for her school teams in middle and was team captain in high school. In high school she was a member of a pre-professional hip hop company who trained in popping, locking, breaking, and other street hip hop. During her time in the company, Sarah performed at many festivals and showcases around New Jersey and New York City, including a performance for the TedX “Chaos” in Asbury Park. 

 

After high school, Sarah went to college to become a math teacher, but always knew she would go back to dance. She attended MCC, where she studied dance and is so excited to return to dance and continue to share her passion. We are excited Miss Sarah is returning this year to teach a variety of classes including Tap, Hip-Hop, and Combo!

Miss Mary has been dancing for 14 years. Ever since she was little she has had two dreams - being a Rockette and being a teacher. She is currently in the Future Educators Program at Allentown High School. Over the years, she has participated in numerous intensives with the Radio City Rockettes, giving her a passion for precision jazz and tap. This summer she was selected to spend a week on Broadway for dance and musical training with Broadway’s top dance captains and performers. When she’s not dancing through life she enjoys all things Marching Band, Colorguard, and Musical Theater. After four years of being a Helper Teacher at Millstone Dance, she is excited to have completed her Dance Teacher Certification this summer, and be able to share her love for dance with tiny dancers!
